The automatic dog feeder is a wonderful tool to have when it comes to keeping your dog fed in situations where you may not have time to do it yourself. Simply fill the storage container with your dog's favorite food and let the automatic dog feeder handle it from there. Your dog will certain to get his food and you'll be able to go on with your day free from the worry of whether or not you fed the dog before you left. How does it work you ask? It's pretty simple really. You fill the storage bin with food, and then the feeder does the rest of the work by releasing a set amount of food at a set time by way of a motorized shutter that opens and closes when the predetermined time is reached. An auger is all activated to funnel the food towards the shutter when the time trigger is activated. The shutter will open to allow the predetermined amount of food to fall into the bowl, and then will close once that amount of food has been released. This process will then repeat. The only catch is that there has to be food in the storage container for the process to work, that's your only job.

The automatic dog feeder is made with a compact design and can be placed just about anywhere in the home where your dog can get to it. When the bowl needs to be cleaned, just detach it from the base, clean, and reattach the bowl to the base. The automatic dog feeder can hold anywhere from 5 to 20 pounds of dog food, depending on what size you buy. The automatic dog feeder can have up to 8 different settings per day so you have multiple options for feeding times. It is recommended that the food size no exceed 7/8" in diameter for the feeder to work properly.

I purchased an automatic dog feeder a couple months ago thinking that it would help keep things a little more organized for me since I work long hours and sometimes forget to feed the dog before I leave. The automatic dog feeder has been a life saver for me. I work 10 hour days for my job and I always felt guilty cause my dog would be home alone and would have to wait for such a long time to be fed. Now I don't have that problem. I just keep the storage container filled and my dog always gets fed at the same time, regardless if I'm there or not. It's perfect! No more guilt for making my dog wait so long to be fed. I do clean the dish quite often, because like any dish, it gets dirty after a while. Have to be careful that you don't buy food that is too big or it will get stuck. Great product!
